I don't do a whole lot of mudding or off-roading, so this is about the best story I have for my Fronty.
Last weekend, I went to my nephew's 1st B-day party. It had just rained, and there wasn't a whole lot of parking space, so everyone parked in the grass. Once it was time for a couple of people to leave, people realized that their cars were stuck. No $#!+, Sherlock! My brother-in-law went out to hop in his F-350, only to find out that he was stuck too. He put it in 4wd, but it was too late. He'd already dug himself in.
Already having fun, I walked up and asked him if he wanted me to get my rice burner and give him a hand. He was a little reluctant, but he finally decided that he was stuck enough that he would take me up on it. I hooked up the tow strap, and pulled him out.
I know that the only reason he was stuck was because of his somewhat bald tires, and that I was able to pull him out because my tires are somewhat new. However, its always fun to pull a big Ford fan's F-350 out of the mud for him. Especially in front of all of the family and friends.

good kill. sucks to have a big "i dont have a small penor" truck and no skill to back it up.
why couldnt he get out himself, though? did he not want to damage the grass? did he dig himself axle deep while trying to get out in 2wd?

Personally I find it very sad that he hopped in his truck and expected to be able to drive away in 2WD...
I mean if it was soft or wet enough for cars to get stuck, how would a heavy ass truck in 2wd be able to move?
Was this F-350 a diesel? If so... even more reason to put it in at least 4-Hi.
First thing i do when getting in my Grandfathers 97 Cummins Powered Dodge is put it in 4wd if there is even a slight possibility of it getting stuck... cause it will!
Nice to see the Nissan pulling the F-350 out regardless!
what was that guy in the ford doing? was he in 2wd or was he just spinnin the front right and the left rear??? lol
I've already pulled an s10 out of a swamp - he had lost it in the wet roads and went off the road... hooked a chain up to the hitch, threw my baby in 4lo with the locker engauged - yanked him out of being burried up to the cab with little effort and not a squeak of the tires....
