I pulled the AirAid CAI from my truck on Saturday because I'm taking it in for the recall and don't want any hassles from the dealership. So far, I have not seen any decrease in my mileage with having the stock air box and K&N filter back on the truck! Granted, it's only been two days, should know more by the end of the week, when I have an opportunity to replace the CAI this weekend. I left the TBS on hoping I don't get any grief about that, but the recall is for the trailer wiring, so I don't think they will have any reason to be under the hood!

Paint it black, they probably won't notice it then, especially if there is no logo on it.

I actually thought about putting a piece of electrical tape around it to disguise it! That way I can peel it off afterwards and I'll still have the shiny red splash of color under the hood!

That is a good idea for a temporary fix too. Not that I would ever condone this type of behavior!!

No guesswork involved. Here's exactly what you can expect:
Review of aFe Intake

Well i installed it easily in about 20 minutes....then to the muffler shop
for a nice mandrel bent exaust and a huge free flowing 3" magnaflow muffler.

YEEEEEHHHAAAWWWWWW Does it ever go. At around
5000 rpm in 1st gear the tires break loose and it spins like mad.
If i can ever keep my foot out of it i will do a milage check.

i can see ALOT of tire wear.........

quote from reverendbiker website

"Given estimated driveline losses of about 20% for an automatic transmission, that yields 294 horsepower and 295 ft/lbs torque at the crankshaft--not too shabby for a "small" truck on 87-octane gas!"

294 HP.....29 more than stock at the crankshaft. wooooohooooo.

Thanks for the dyno charts, and the effort you put into your site.

I think that deserves some rep points for ya Reverend biker.
