I like both, but I say keep it the way it is now, a little more unique...straight back is nice, but it'll also mean having the exhaust blowing on your leg while loading the truck...
I like the straight pipe look myself. it goes well with your taillights...
However, taking scale off of your (im assuming) 2" tow hitch, those tail pipes look to be about 3" in diameter. A dual 3" system might a be a bit much for a 4-cyl truck.....

I agree with that. The straight look does go well with your tail lights. I've never been a big fan of the tail pipes that are angle out at the sides.
I like the look of the straight out back better than the one
out either side. you do have another option and that is to do like I did on my truck. I ran both out the same side where the stock pipes exited. I had them line the tips up so that they were in a straight line. You can see the pipes on my truck at www.picturetrail.com/okiescot.
That is a fine look, but it's quite a bit more common than your current look (which I think is good too). Now how about going through the bumper
Got any more pics of the grille?
I was thinking that the idea is a bit more common, most people get their closer together. I have them spread apart more than I see on a lot of trucks. Going through the bumper...I don't know if I could drill holes in my bumper. If I recall right, the only thing that can be considered permanent so far would be the exhaust. Everything else I can take off and/or replace with the orginal parts. I really don't know about it, I just think I wouldn't like it on this truck.
Here are some more pics of the grill though:
Thanks for the input on the exhaust
Got an assortment of mixed reviews. Makes it tougher on me to decide what I want to do. Not complaining, everyone added to my thought process.
Kilago,
Thanks for the input, I agree with you, but, I don't normally have the truck running when I am loading the bed. I agree that it is unique in the angle that my muffler guy did mine, but at the same time, I can't decide which one I like better. Thanks
Inyourface1650,
I used to hate how the tailpipes exiting under the rear bumper looked on smaller trucks like mine, but I am trying and think I might know how to get the look I want. Just don't know...
as far as the diameter, I don't know for sure what my pipe are, either 2 or 2 1/2 inch. My muffler guy went slighty larger with the pipes that he added. The tips on my truck however are supposdly 3".
As you can see in the pic, it looks just shy of three inches. I took this pic with my phone and in the rain, so I could not get the tape measure ligned up right for an accurate reading. But it is close to three inches regardless of all that. I believe you were refering to the exhaust system diameter though...
Thanks for your input
YellowEngine,
I did not catch on to that until after you pointed it out. They do kinda compliment each other. Thanks for the input.
Gerald,
Your exhaust system is sharp! I like how the pipes are painted. Did they do that for you? If I do end up modifying my exhaust again, I think I am going to paint my pipes to keep them decent looking, especially if I decide to come out the back as you would be able to see the pipes from the sides. Very nice.
I like the look coming out one side. But, as my truck had the pipe coming out one side when I bought it, I wanted dual pipes, one out each side. I often think about going to one side again, but realize that either route I go, I will only want to change it again later. Thanks for the input and man your pipes are nice!
NismoFrontin',
As much as I like the look on some trucks, I have never really thought about putting one on my truck. I might have to consider it one day, don't know. Even so, like I told Jerry, I don't know if I would like the look of the tips coming through the bumper and don't know if I would like them coming through the roll pan. Just something I have not really thought of too much.
Thanks for the input, as it will give me something to think about. You and Jerry have cost me about three hours of sleep for tonight as I probably will be searching the web for frontiers that are using you and Jerry's ideas...lol

What might look pretty cool too is a side exit in front of the rear wheels.
Damn that is nice! I almost bought black rims like those when I got new wheels. I was thinking of going for the all blacked out look. That looks sharp as hell!
Side exit in front of the rear wheels is one thing I'm not a big fan of. I was talking about that to lparkfan17 just the other day.
Nice picture, is it somebody from cardomain? I want to check their page out if it is.

No, it wasn't cardomain. I found this guy's site from TUNFS:
The installer painted them when he installed them. They still look pretty nice after 3500 miles. You can go to his website www.kinneysmufflershop.com and view some of the trucks/cars he has done.
There is a pickup that has the side exit exhaust coming out
through a notched area. If I had the money to do it that is what I would do with mine. It is the first truck under truck SUV and it is white. I can't tell for sure but I think it is a Chevy.
I chose the side exit for two reasons. It gives more clearance at the rear of the truck and they were going to have to tie a wire up out of the way if I went out the rear.
I actually was going to go out the rear until I saw they had to tie the wire up out of the way. Being a natural worry
wart I was afraid the tie may come loose some day and fry the wire.
