Smile Best Valentine's gift, 06 SE CC

Hi all,

I fell in LOVE with the SE CC back in August of 05, my husband was not interested. After 5 months of nagging my husband he finally agreed to test drive the frontier, well he was sold. When we picked the dealer we wanted to buy from, they didn't have the Red Brawn/Desert Interior power pack model in stock, so we had to wait a few days before he swapped one out from another dealer. We picked it up about 5 days ago and I just LOVE LOVE IT. I told my husband I could not want for a better Valentine's gift. Now we argue who is going to be the one to take the truck to work each day.

Question: The frontier had about 225 miles on it when we brought it home, the gas mileage is so so poor, will that get better over time? It seems like we are only getting 10 miles to the gallon?

yes it will. i just broke a 1000 miles on mine and the lowest i have gotten is 15.4 and the best was this last tank which was 18.2. i was pretty dissapointed at first as well but now, 100% satisfied. congrats on the new truck.

I just passed 5K this week and I'm getting a consistant 16 mpg! It will get better as the miles are put on. Also, at your next fill-up push and hold the computer button so it resets everything, that will start it with a clean slate! If the dealer let it sit and idle a lot or it was only run on short test drives, that will affect the mpg calculation. Resetting everything will give you a better idea of the mileage with your driving style! Welcome to the forum!

If you idle it to warm it up in the mornings it will affect your mpg as well. I dont tend to warm up my truck unless it's below 5 outside (which it was twice this week). My wife warms up her car if it's below 25 it seems (could be one reason why her 4cyl Accord is only getting 24mpg and my truck has gotten 19 on the last 2 tanks)
