Tire size

I'm not looking to buy new tires yet, BUT, I would just like to know from any of you with experience. Looking at the front wheel well on the 05/06 frontys, there seems to be very little clearance between the tire and the back of the front bumper. My question is, if I wanted a larger tire, what would be the largest I could go without having to get a lift kit. I would like just a slightly more aggressive tire next go around.

Thanks in advance!

Jared

Anyone put more aggressive tires on there frontier (2005 or 2006) without a lift?

Thanks!

Jared

I was able to fit 31x10.5-16 goodyear MT/R without problems. had to detatch the front mudgaurd though. If you want an aggressive tire then look into the Firestone Destination MT. 120-130 bucks for a good tire. Buddy of mine has them on his GMC and I swear you couldnt put a hole in them if you tried.

Stock tires on a Nismo are bigger than 31x10.5-16's (265/75r16 = 31.6x10.4). Stock on the SE works out to like 30.6x10.4-16 (LE is about the same but 17's).

And yes, I realize some tires run larger but typically only a few 10th's at most, the bigger issue may be the actual tread width since the tire dimensions are taken at the widest point. I know BFG AT's have a rather wide tread for the size while the Kumho's I had on my last truck were much more narrow.
