'05 Frontier KC, 4 cyl.- Brakes & Bushings?

Of four different sounds heard inside and outside of the cab, I'm now down to two- a ringing metallic sound from the front brakes; and the front rubber bushings squeak when the truck is driven over bumps or over a yard. The first two sounds were fixed- one by me and the other by the dealer after I showed him the TSB for the leaf springs. Last fall, I found an a/c line along the fire wall which was tapping onto the fire wall. The dealer couldn't hear it much less find it. I fixed it with a piece of closed cell foam between the line and the fire wall. The leaf springs were fixed from a TSB from www.nissanhelp.com\bulletins

I just returned from the dealer this morning and will have to wait until Friday for service as they now require appointments. They could not hear the brake sounds two weeks ago but the sounds are unmistakeable now. The faster I drive the louder the ringing. It sounds just like a wind-up alarm clock going off. The sound doesn't stop until the wheel stops. I mentioned my concern for the brakes as a possible safety issue; but the service mgr. didn't seem to care. Are all Nissan dealers this obstinate when it comes to service or did I just luck out?

Thumbs up '05 Frontier KC, 4 cyl.- Brakes & Bushings? No. How 'bout a Drive Shaft

Went to the dealer on Friday and gave them a list of items to check. They fixed the driver's window creak (not power windows); ordered parts for the left jump seat (listed on a TSB); lubed suspension components which seem to have stopped the bushings from making noises; and found the source of the clicking noise which I thought was coming from the wheels or the brakes. Turns out the drive shaft has issues which they could not address. The service mgr. filed a report with Nissan engineering tech support to find out what needs to be repaired or if its necessary to replace the whole shaft. Won't know anything until next week; but they tell me its okay to drive. I'll report what I find out.
