Where is the best place to pick up an aftermarket trailer hitch? I'm looking for something heavy duty that will bolt to the frame. I want something that has the full potential of pulling whatever the truck is capable of (6400lbs)
Also where is the best place to pick up the required wiring kit for pulling a trailer?

I just got mine from a Nissan dealer. It comes with everything (including wiring) I put it on that night in the garage. Very easy!
If you don't mind me asking, how much was it? you can pm me if you like.
Thanks
Naa I don't mind you asking. I'm going to post the price on here just in case someone else comes along with the same question. If I remember right, it was about $220. That included the wiring and everything needed (did not include the ball and ball mount.) All I had to do was take it out of the box and bolt it on. Again, Very easy. You can go to any Nissan dealer and order it.
One thing to remember, this was back in Feb of '05 so they may have come down slightly since the vehicle has been out for a little while now.

Keep in mind the factory wiring comes with the relays so most aftermarket kits wont work.
I spent about 400 bucks by the time i was done, but that included a adaptor plug and 130 dollar brake controller (got the better one) and the extra harness to get it all put in - so figuer it was about 180 for the electronics and about 220 for the hitch and harnesses - very easy and simple to install!
the hitch and harnesses i bought all from courtesy parts...
I just picked up the Nissan tow hitch and 7-pin harness for $228 at my local dealer. Printed out the best online pricing I could find and they matched it. Sometimes all you have to do is ask.

what's the differences between the different pin harnesses? Should I get a certain type?
The 4-pin is the basic three lighting connector (running, turn, and brake).
The 7-pin is for lights,Electric Brakes, and other power the tailer may need.
I think the 7-pin is the way to go.

Exactly. The dealer suggested I go with the 7-pin because I could always down-convert (if that's a word) to a 4-pin. If I installed the 4-pin harness I couldn't up-convert to a 7-pin. Made sense to me.

I have the "Hidden Hitch" on my truck. Same install as a factory one. I got it for $114 at a local parts store so no shipping. I haven't gotten to the wiring harness yet. I just put the hitch on in case I have to pull someone out of snow or a ditch, I wasnt hooking the tow chain to my bumper.
