Running on new wheels without TPMS

I know this question has come up before, and I've searched, but can't find a definitive answer. If I get new wheels and decide not to move the TPMS monitors to the wheels, will the alarm be a constant pain? If so, is there an easy way to disable the alarm (fuse, etc.)? Thanks, and sorry for beating this horse again... and yes, I read the "light bulb" post.

i aired down my tires last weekend to 18psi for the desert and the tire pressure sensor light and beep went on. the beep went off 3 or 4 times then it was only the light for the rest of the weekend. i dont know how to remove the bulb but i'm sure it is possible. someone else may know how or the manual may have a section on replacing gauge cluster light bulbs.

anyway, if you dont mind the light, the beep is only for a short time.

Yeah, damn thing scared the crap out of me the first time it came on because I didnt know what it was for. A big exclamation mark in your gauge cluster with a ridiculously loud beep really makes you reach for your Owner's Manual

After the initial scare, all it does is stay on in your dash. The bulbs are easy enough to remove once you take out the instrument cluster (they clip in from the back).

The buzzer will come on more than once (well mine did). It went on and I drove a week without airing the tires and it emitted 2 loud beeps a week later when I first started off one morning. So, I added air (they were all about 30 PSI) and all is good. I don't know why it beeped twice when it did though. Maybe it won't let you forget that they need air.

LOL! EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME! The family was loaded up on the way to church and it went off at the end of our street! I couldn't figure out what in the WORLD that icon was for on the dash, so we turned around to swap vehicles. I grabbed the owner's manual in the driveway and saw what the indicator was for, so we went on our way.

Glad I'm not the only one!

I actually drove my truck off the lot and stopped at a truck stop about 5 miles down the road from the dealer. Spent about 15 minutes sitting there with the manual figuring out how to set the mirrors, seats, radio, and what all the damn buttons were for. I was fiddling with the radio while I was driving and thought, "This is stupid!! Let me pull over and figure it out before I crack up my new truck!" Spent about an hour later that evening at home reading the manual in depth.
