I've recently installed the Center Grill Guard by Design Automotive. I purchased it from Autoanything.com. It went on pretty easy but if you do get it, you'll need to change the bolts that mount the bracket to the frame. The thread count for the ones they send are not correct. It comes with light mounts that you can remove and pre-drilled holes to run the wires. It will make for a nice install. There is no cutting needed. Just remove the center air dam. However, you can cut some holes in the air dam if you want to replace it. Here are some photos.
nice truck. i recommend you take those step rails off though. i just did some light wheeling in Borrego over the weekend and i needed all the clearance i could get. i would have bent those rails if i had not taken them off first.

Thanks for the complements. I got it at WWW.Autoanything.com. It's made by Design Automotive and was $258. I ordered just before Christmas when they were offering free shipping. That made it a very good deal. They also have a black powder coated one for $211 but I thought the polished stainless steel would go better with the chrome bumper.
Here's a link that I think will work to take you directly to the listing.
I actually thought about the clearance issue before I put the step rails on. But I live in Florida and there's not much wild off road terrain around here. And my wife needs them to get into the truck anyway.
Very cool. Yet another thing to add to the wish list.

Yes, it does drop the clearance a bit in the front. But I wanted it for more "show" than "go". I don't do much off-roading. If I do it's mostly on Daytona Beach or in the forest.
I also was considering the Westin but it was more expensive. This ain't a shabby bar though. It's solid. I can stand on the top of it and it don't budge. It was the least expensive "Bull Bar" that I could find for the truck at the time.

I am the opposite. Rather have the go than the show
I bought my Frontier on a Friday night, and promptly headed out to the desert Saturday morning. Ended up thrashing a factory tire on a boulder Had to explain to my wife that my new truck with less than a 100 miles needed a new tire.
Scuba... check this out. I know it is on a Pathfinder, but it is pretty much the same front end as a Fronty Westin Bull Bar
thanks - as what has already been brought up, i'm just concerned of how low and how much it will push the front out - i'm not huge ont he offroading - but i don't want something that will hinder the trucks ability too from the looks of things on the path - it seems to tuck up pretty well
Not to bust any bubbles, but the link you have to the Westin bull bar is pictured on a Pathfinder Armada even though it does state it 2005 - 2006 Frontier. Note that the mounts for the Armada and Titan are different than the ones for the Fontier and Pathfinder. They come from more in the middle of the bumpper on the Armada/Titan instead from under the bumper like our trucks. Plus, the cost is almost $400 if you get Stainless steel.
Immolator, you say the bar is solid? There was a thread a little while back saying some can be rather flimsy.... How does it mount? Just two bolts on the front of the frame or what? It actually looks rather nice....If I could use it as a tie off point for a tow strap or a line (yes, you can go rappelling off your tow hitch!) it might be worth looking into.

It mounts directly to the frame via the same holes as the factory tow hook. You have to remove the tow hook to install this. There are two bolts that secure each mounting bracket to the frame. Then there are two bolts on each side that secure the bar to the mounting brackets.
I can stand on it and bounce the truck and I'm 210 pounds. Now would I tie a rope to it and repel? I don't know. If I did, I would tie it to the lower bar. That would be a better leverage point. Drop me an email if it works for you. If I don't hear back from you then I guess it didn't work.
