I got the PowerAid TBS and installed it this afternoon! Here's a link to my write-up of the install and first impressions: TBS Install

I was curious about the TBS and posted a thread about it to get some info. Most people said it would be a waste of money and i agreed.I have to say, I think it looks pretty good.Do you know if it can be installed along with an AFE intake?

Yeh, I saw you post and the comments. I wondered how many of the nay sayers had actually ever owned and used one, so I thought rather than take their word for it I'd give it a try.

The aFe Intake installs at the same point as the AirAid I have, so I see no reasin why it wouldn't work.

When I bought it I was told that it would not increase HP, that's not what it's made to do, so most of the comments made in you post were accurate to a point, but most where looking at it as a part that would increase HP. They do claim increased low to mid range torque and an increase in gas mileage, the later being the main reason I thought I'd give it a try. It's still a little to early to tell, but initial indications are good! Normally after topping off the tank and resetting the trip computer, the MPG will raise to about 15.8 on my way to work, and then climbs slowly (about .2 mpg per day) over the next couple days and settles in at 16.2 mpg. This morning I hit 16.7 as I was getting off the highway, and it dipped to 16.3 by time I parked in the parking garage. So, I'm hoping the normaly pattern will repeat itself, and it will start to climb again over the next couple days. Also, this tell tale whistle they talk about is not pronounced at all. In fact I didn't even hear it until I was accelerating onto the highway between 50 and 60 mph, and that was only because I turned the radio off to listen for it! It did feel like it had more get up and go getting onto the highway also. So far, I'm happy with it, we'll see how it goes over the next week or so, if I get another 1+ mpg out of it I'll be happy!

Keep us posted on the MPG data.

Is the inside diameter of the TBS smooth or is it one of the "screw" types?

I looks like a Giant Nut on the inside! So far gas mileage looks good, I'll know more when I fill up again next week!
