NUMBER THREE ON DISTRIBUTER CAP NOT FIRING AT ALL

HI. NEW MEMBER,NAME IS HOWARD. HAVE A 97 NISSAN PICKUP 4 CY. PROBLEM IS I CAN'T GET THE NUMBER THREE POSITION TO FIRE. I REPLACED PLUG, SWITCHED WIRES, REMOVED CAP , ROTOR TOOK OUT SENSOR REMOVED DISC,CLEANED,REINSTALLED, STILL NOT FIRING. QUESTION IS COULD IT BE IN THE SENSOR? DOES IT GO BAD ON JUST ONE CYLINDER. I EVEN REPLACE D DISTRIBUTER CAP. NOW CAN I SAY HELP?

Any luck with this? So you completely replaced the cap, rotor, wires and plug? Could be the sensor, or it might just be that the rotor is not making any contact with the electrode for the third one.

Did you change the rotor too? I had a similar problem with #6 and #3 and a new cap, rotor and wires fixed me up.
