Tailgate Retainer Cables

Has anyone replaced these on there Frontier yet? Mine is a 99' Frontier. My tailgate is held by one cable know the other has rusted through. I have searched for a replacement set online ,but have found nothing.
P.S- Have a Happy New Year

Mine is a 2000 - I replaced one the other day. Really easy - just unclick the top part and unscrew the bottom part.

When you put on the new ones make sure you put them exactly as the old ones are on there - should be clips at top and screws on the tailgate I believe. Have a good look.

I got mine on ebay - I think I paid $8 for one and shipping was free.

Tailgate Cables

I have just spent about 4 hours searching the net for tailgate cables for my 99' Frontier. I googled ,and checked ebay. Its like they are not made. If anyone has replaced them before please let me know where you got them. Or attach the link to them. This searching has got me frustrated. Help

Not trying to be smart, but can they be gotten from a dealer?? I can't imagine they would be prohibitively expensive, especially with all the on-line dealers selling parts.

Could somebody look up the part #s and help stacey63 out??

I have not went to the Nissan dealer yet ,but figured that would probable be the most expensive. I tried online dealers ,and found nothing. They sell plenty of tailgates ,and tailgate handles ,but nt the cables. Go figure. There has to be an online source somewhere.

Yeah, I like how you can see the exploded view of the OEM parts. Good luck with your project!
