Well I guess that I will have to ask the dealer:

1. I have a chrome key and a non-chrome (vallet) key.
2. I have no cut-out on the key
3. I tried both keys, both keys start the car
4. I have the flashing car and key (Red blinking) on the dash when the car is parked

I guess I will need to ask the dealer if the immobilizer was/is part of my Nismo or not.

Never Mind my last post. I just didn't read the sticker. Like others, I went online to verify. The Nismo - just like it says on my sticker, Has the VSS and the Immobilizer system on it.

I too need to call my inusrance company and fix this little bit of info. They asked if I had a security system, and I say no: but, my sticker does say VSS and Immobilizer on it. The Nissan Website says that the chip is inside the key.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate your help.

Someone else may know exactly which vehicles have this option or if it's on all Nissans, but I don't know.
Now that was dumb! The VALET key of course will start you truck. I guess what I meant was that if you have a cut key from a hardware store, it will let you in, but not start your truck.

That's what I get for reading this forum at work when I'm too busy to pay it the attention it deserves. My apologies for all the confusion.
