Wow! I'm assuming since you quoted HP that the 403 torque is ft-lbs. That's impressive! Congratulations on your purchase and Welcome. I look forward to the pics.

Congrats! Not sure exactly how that model differs from the Frontiers in the U.S., but you will like it.

I am guessing that is a 4 cylinder? Where are you that you can get a diesel? Will be interesting to see if it has enough power, probably does with all that torque!! Your fuel mileage should be a lot better than the gas 6 cylinder version.

I believe that torque number is in Nm. Not sure what Nm stands for.

Newton-meters. It's the SI unit for torque. Divide N-m by 1.356 to get ft-lb of torque. That makes it... 297 ft-lb of torque.

174 hp and 297 ft-lb of torque???? Wow... we need a turbo-diesel here in the US.

Work to do

John Kr,

You are going to have to get busy to get your new truck to look as good as the one you have now. I really do like the
bedliner in your present truck. Where did you get it?

Post pictures of your new truck when you get through doing
your modifications. I say when and not if because I can tell you are like me and cannot leave stock alone.

If you do as well on your new truck as you have on the one you have now it should look outstanding.

Thank you for sharing with us.

WOW - I did not realise that there was a deisel option.

I wish they would offer that over here. Should make for better towing and off-roading (more torque at lower rpm)

Your current ride looks great!

Are you also getting the cap for your new truck? Haven't seen that over here either. Very cool looking. I want to get one so our dog can come with us for the ride (he's a little big for the back seat with the kid).

Thanks for sharing the pics. Awesome!

Nice Truck! I wonder how hard it would be to get the front end parts from the 01-04 Navara and put them on the Frontier. Surely they did not change the front structure for the different front end, did they? I love the way it looks because it is different, for us in the US anyways. Nice truck and Happy New Year EVERYONE!!

Does anyone know where to start for finding a part number for the locking gas door? I'm sure that is a over seas order as well since I haven't seen any frontiers here with them. Those locking gas caps SUCK! I wish Nissan did the locking door for us in the U.S.

I love that hood; an honest-to-goodness functional hood scoop

Didn't even notice the locking gas cap; nice touch there too.

Maybe in a few years we'll see the diesel here in the states (everyone else is switching to them -- but have you noticed diesel prices have not come back down like gasoline?). What kind of mileage (MPG or KPL) do you get with the diesel?

Sorry, I’m not so god in English - do you mean consumption?

We used always metric system, but I will try……..

The consumption for this truck are 0.7 – 0.9 litres (L) per 10 kilometres (km) or 14.3 - 11.1 kilometre per litre diesel.

1 mile = 1.6093 km
8.9 miles =14.3 km

1 gallon [gal] = 4.5461 litre
0.22 gallon = 1 litre

That’s mean this truck can drive 40.46 miles per gallon. I hope this calculation was correct.

That is what I was talking about. So, anywhere from 31 to 40 MPG. Not too bad at all. I think I'd get a diesel if they offered it in the US
