2005 Frontier noise

I dont know if this is normal, but when i have my heater on everyonce in a while it sounds as if the fan is hitting something, like a scratching noise. I have heard this sound once before and it was in a full size dodge ram when the AC pump was about to go... Any ideas? The sound is only when the heat is blowing out.

The heater on my 1977 Datsun KC used top get leaves in
the fan cage and I could hear a sort of rattling noise until
I cleaned it out. Not sure if this is your problem or not.

I wouldn't think you would have this problem this quickly.
Someone said that the cabin filter eliminates this problem.
I do not have a filter in my truck. I have thought about adding one if it is not too expensive.

I wouldnt think thats the problem. I just bought the truck a month ago and its winter so the leafs have been gone. thats a good thought though. i was thinking that if it was not normal it might be the ac pump like the last truck.
