Went to my local 4 Wheel Parts in El Cajon , CA and purchased the AFE "CAI." I put the quotations because some people have contested that it is not a true cold air intake and for valid reasons. In any case, I asked about the Air Raid Quickfit and the Magnum Force Stage II, from afe, and they had both in stock in their Compton warehouse. Talked him down to $176 for the afe since he mentioned that i would get better flow with the afe versus the Air Raid. So by this time tomorrow, I will have installed an afe Stage II intake system for a low price of $191.71. Not bad for next day pick up.
I wanted to wait for 05 Nismo 4X4 and the group buy but i just couldn't take it anymore. I mean $150 shipped would have been a bargain for the Air Raid but when the asst manager at 4 Wheel Parts recommended the afe, i threw my debit card at him and he ordered the kit delivered right away. This way, no waiting for the group and i would have my kit in one day and the price ain't bad. Sorry Paul. I'm sure there will be others interested in the Air Raid kit.

Pics and review tomorrow...
SD,
I got the price from David yesterday, it ended up being $170.00 shipped, so it sounds like you got an excellent deal on the aFe! He wouldn't go any lower on the Airaid, but at least it's not a group buy, so there's no waiting, you order, he ships! Good luck with your aFe!

the install went fine. i took my time and made sure to do it right. took me about 40 minutes. had one problem though. the screws included with the kit for the purpose of securing the MAF sensor were too short. i ended up using the oem MAF screws (which were much longer) with the white spacers. this was much easier than using their screws. i also think this is why the Rev decided to use the wavy washer over the white spacer in his install. although, i noticed AGR used the white spacers for the MAF sensor. maybe he got longer hardware from aFe.
the butt dyno says it's marginally quicker. growl is awesome but doesn't really howl till you stomp on it and the rpms are well into the upper 3000 and up.
overall, i am very pleased with this product. install was easy and quick. barring my own dyno tests, the jury is out on the performance gains.

That looks great! I know what you mean about the performance. Most of the dyno charts I've seen the power and torque increases really don't kick in until after the 3000 to 3500 rpm range, some don't peak till your hitting 5000+! So, unless your punching it to merge into highway traffic, or do a lot of racing, you really don't notice it that much in your day to day driving. What I'm really hoping is that the combination of a freer flowing exhaust and freer flowing intake equate to a bit better gas mileage during my daily commute! It's nice to know the extra umph is there when you want it, but better fuel economy is still my ultimate goal! Thanks for sharing the pics and experience of your install!
