Set up a CarDomain page. Not too many pictures yet, but soon. This is the best one.

Very nice truck. I am thinking about doing the Pathfinder
switch cover modification on my LE KC as soon as I deter-
mine if the CC switch will work in my KC.
How do you get the switch coverplate off? I have looked at mine and pried a little on it, but it does not want to release.
The body shop broke one of the clips on my driver's side
when they removed the door panel to install my chrome
mirrors. I don't want to do the same thing again.
Thank you,
OkieScot

Thanks everybody for your good comments. I love this truck!!
At first I couldn't figure out how to get the bezels off, but once the new ones arrived I could see where the clips are located. To get them off, I used an old credit card (a plastic or soft putty knife of some kind would work too). Use an old one because it will get beat up and bent some.
I pushed the card into the slot at the BOTTOM edge of the bezel (the narrow end closest to the ground, facing the rear when the door is closed). A little working around and prying and the bottom pops loose and then you rotate it upward to unhook it at the top edge. To reinstall you hook them at the top end and then swing them down and snap it at the bottom. There's plenty of slack in the wiring to allow all of this without a lot of drama.
On the driver's door, the switches are fastened to the bezel with screws, probably due to the amount of use they get and the number of switches there. On the other three doors the switches are snapped onto the bezels. The old credit card is again useful here for getting all these unsnapped.
It's not a hard job at all and it really looks good after. I don't have the part numbers on me but I got them from another thread on the forum here. Shopped a couple different sites to buy them and they were about $48 shipped wherever I looked.
Thanks again for the good feedback. I'm a Nissan convert now!

Thank you for the detailed process. I tried that this morning, but the lower end did not want to release, I guess I need to apply more pressure, but I was afraid I might break something as I was using a fair amount of force.
As hard as I was prying I think it would have bent a credit card and still not released. It would be my luck that there is something funny going on with my coverplate.
The body shop dorked it when they removed it to install my
chrome mirrors. You would think that it would be easier to remove since they messed it up.

It's got a tab with a metal spring clip over it. The credit card kind of pushes on the spring clip part which lets the bezel pop up. Don't pry much with the card. Kind of push it into the slot at an angle - if it goes in more than 1/8" or so then you missed the clip. It's a little tricky the first time, but once you can see it then it makes sense. I'll see if I can get a picture tomorrow.

You are too good. A picture is probably what I need. Thank you so much.
