under the passenger seat in a king cab? Right now I'm shopping around for an amp that'll put out the kind of wattage I need to power a 15, and I want to mount it under the passenger seat. Anybody know of a compact one that'll fit there and produce enough power maybe 400 or more?
I mounted a Sony under the passenger seat...I had to cut an area in the underpad of the rug...and I put about 3 washers under each back mounting leg of the seat to get enuf clearance, but the amp fit in nicely and I have almost 1/4" of clearance between the top of the amp and the metal bottom of the seat...the seat moves back and forth without striking the amp...
The particular model of the amp is in my signature...
However, I don;t think this amp will kick out 400 watts...I drive a pair of RE8's...8" subs, and for what I'm doing, it's fine...but it may be small for your 15"...
Hope this helps...
Steve

Since I have the same engine and tranny...a couple questions...
You installed a different camshaft...how did it help your performance???any significant change???...what specific cam did you install???...did you do it yourself or did you have it done???
The clutch...what did you put in and where did you get it???
Where did you get the Weapon R intake system from...did it help any???
As you know these little 4 banger engines are fantastic...but a bit underpowered...so maybe you could update me and others on this forum what you did and how much did it help...perhaps the cost also???
Many thanx
Steve

Haven't done the cams or clutch yet, thats under my "plans" section. As far as the intake goes, it did help a lot. I had installed a higher flow exhaust system before that so I definitely saw an increase in power and mpg. As fars as costs... intake:$260, exhaust:$265, nology wires:$30 on ebay . If you need any more info, send me a message. Peace
