I am sick of waiting for AEM... they're taking too long... instead i am probably going to buy an AEM dryflow intake and use it with this system...
i went with the series 63 because it makes more power than the 77, and because it wont heatsoak... i know that at full throttle this doesn't matter, but lugging along through the mountains it will...
and i know it's not legal in california... like I care i have 5 years to smog, and i'll swap it out when needed lol

I am considering the 63 as well.....K&N's dyno chart, (as subjective as it may be) shows an 11.63 hp increase @ 5200 rpm with the 77 series, as opposed to a 14.27 hp increase @ 5075 rpm with the 63......I feel I owe it to myself to try to replicate those results, and it'll make a nice Christmas present from my wife, although she's not aware she's getting one for me yet I had a K&N FIPK on my '99 Z28, and was quite pleased with it, we'll see how this one turns out, unless in my research I figure out another one is better......I'm also waiting for a S/C setup designed specifically for the 4.0; pretty sure I'll invest in one soon.

Installed the Series 63 today, and this thing REALLY opens up the intake airflow & tone A LOT! Sound is awesome, not raspy or anything, but like a racing engine, it reminds me of the intake sound I got from my LSII in my Z28 with the K&N.......awesome; can I feel a difference.... definitely at around 3500+ rpm, it wakes up quite noticeably, and I am really pleased with it so far.....sounds great from inside the cab too, an immediate deep toned sound, even from low rpms........not sure how many horses it's actually added (k&n's dyno showed a 14+ hp increase), but even if it's lower I defintely recommend it so far anyway!!

How is the Gas Mileage since adding the 63??
Thinking of the 63 myself. Martel Brothers had it for 262.00 with free shipping. I think you just convinced me to do it.
What about warranty? Does it affect it at all?
