After buying my new Frontier almost 2 weeks ago, I FINALLY had the chance to clean it a bit and take some pictures before dark this evening - enjoy, fellow Fronty owners!
Here are the mods I have done so far (first 3 from Brian at www.yournissanparts.com):
Added OEM fog lights, trim pieces, and new switch/steering column stalk
Added OEM color-keyed storm gray body-side moldings
Added OEM front and rear splash guards
Added Extang Freedom tonneau with black polymer snaps
Added factory-match metallic tint for both front windows
Added 13" rubber stubby replacement antenna whip
Removed all dealer badging (ugh) - tailgate logo, front and rear license plates and license plate frames (I loathe the free advertising they stick on your new baby)
Waffling on audio - installed Sony MP3 unit, but hated the single-DIN look in that big opening. Still with factory CD system and iPod through an FM modulator, but have added 1" tweeters up front in factory locations (MUCH better highs now). Also waffling on whether to remove the "Frontier" and "SE" logos from the tailgite. I like them since they are chrome and slick looking, but it would be a bit cleaner with them gone. Opinions?
Now that the "easy" mods are over, thinking about a custom exhaust and dual tips and possibly a CAI unit. A drop hitch will come next Spring when I need to start towing a few things.
I have to say adding the factory fog lights was the easiest upgrade I have ever performed. I love that the lights ae basically plug and play (since the factory wires are already there) and the stalk replacement took less than 4 minutes. Very awesome. Thank god Nissan makes it so easy.
Ok, enough babbling - here are the pics from this evening...I sized the pics at 640x480 for ease of viewing in this post.

Don't you just love those wheels? Nice everything on that truck, my friend!
Tell us more about those Fogs. I want some like that. What I would really like though, is 'Driving Lamps' in place of the Fogs!

It's amazing what Nissan includes as factory standard, like those great aluminum wheels and those MEATY BF Goodrich tires. Would not have come close to this with a Toyota for even close to what I paid with the Frontier. Did I mention the POWER this puppy has? I love it....
The fog lights are genuine Nissan parts - they popped right in the factory holes once I removed the plugs that were there. Two screws for each one and a 3/8" socket and I was done in about 10 minutes. Since the factory wiring harness is already there for the factory option (in NISMO and LE trims), I just plugged them into the new lights. I then replaced the factory turn-signal stalk on the steering wheel column by taking three screws out and taking the column halved off for a few minutes. The old stalk popped right out (just get the retaining clips loose), and the new stalk (with the new fog light switch) went in directly in the place of the old stalk. Time: 4 minutes. So, in under 20 minutes, I have the factory-option fog lights installed and working. Cost: $228. I could have gone cheaper with an aftermarket kit, but running relays and wires was not something I wanted, plus I wanted the factory stalk switch, which only is used with the factory-option kit I believe.
I suspect you could probably switch the halogen bulbs in the fog lights to a driving light arrangement, just not sure you could change the reflector in the factory fog light kit, though. At least you could have the OEM mounting apparatus and could fab something to get driving lights in there.

There is a seller called "AntennaX" that I have bought from before, and I got the whip and new two-sided thread screw (to fit in the recessed factory hole) for $14 shipped. Here is the auction:
Looks very sweet, and your picture documentation is excellent. Wish I had the patience to do that Maybe in time I will when I add the "serious" mods". That aftermarket fog light install looks like a bear, but well worth it.
Since you live in VA (from the license plate) and have gone through about a year of seasonal weather changes (and you bought the eXtang early on), do you use a certain protectact for that tonneau? I have what appears to be the exact same one (the "Freedom" which is probably the same vinyl cover as the "Classic"). Even though it is winter now, I am looking to keep the tonneau looking and performing as new since I just installed it a few days ago. My goal was the same: to have groceries and other things have a secure place without going all over the bed or blowing out, plus with the locking tailgate it's a nice "faux" trunk if you will. If I can built some 2x6 compartments and connect them to the tie hooks I may be able to have a "cheap man's" version of the UtiliTrack that Nissan wanted thousands for (which I just didn't want to pay).
Anyway, back to the tonneau question - if you use anything on yours, please let me know. I know eXtang sells their "tonno tonic", so I may just get that, but if you have used and/or like a certain product, real-world feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks kindly
