RollBak Tonneau - '05 NISMO CC - Impressions and Pics
In the interest of sharing experiences with fellow Frontier owners, I've taken a number of pictures and made a fairly extensive write-up of my impressions of the RollBak Tonneau Cover that I installed on my 2005 NISMO Crew Cab. Overall, it fits my needs and I'm pretty happy with it.
Nice write up - thanks!!! Looks to me for the cost, it would be far from fitting my needs
Well... I have been trying most of day to open the link here at work. But; it ain't happenin' I'll check it when I get home.

Thanks for the write-up on the RollBak. I have a standard tonneau now (was inexpensive for an Extang), but I can envision a new one that is more flexible next Spring. With hard fiberglass and canister-type tonneus out there, it's good to know I have a few choices. Your write-up is something I saved for the future to reference again, so thanks!
Regarding the cockpit, I have a question about the SkyFi XM unit you have mounted on the top storage pocket. I installed a Roady2 down in the lower storage pocket (in front of the shifter) as to not be obvious to people walking by the truck. Are you using the FM modulator built into the SkyFi to transmit to your factory stereo, or some other way (I am assuming the FM route since you have the RF audio package). If so, are you satisfied with the FM modulator solution? Static issues on any of the freqs you use? I wonder if moving my Roady2 to where your SkiFi is would be better for the FM mod sound quality. It's decent now, but far from robust like I expected. I don't expect CD quality out of an FM mod solution, but perhaps my mounting location down in the pocket like I have it is degrading the FM mod performance somewhat. Any advice welcome if you are using the FM mod solution for the SkyFi.
Thanks!

Got it!! Very nice, Scope! My buddy at work has the Extang RT on his Ford F150. Looks like yours. Sharp!! Is yours the RT model?

No, RollBak is actually the brand name. If you go to http://www.rollbaktonneaucover.com/ you'll see what I'm talking about. The RollBak acts sort of like one of those aluminum garage doors that roll up at the top (except, of course, that this one works horizontally).

I haven't heard the first rattle out of it, even with the windows down and driving over a somewhat bumpy rural road. That's one thing I'm very pleased with.

Looking good. Buddy of ours has a similar one (can't remember the brand name)and he loves it. I was pretty close to buying one then settled on the Access which wasn't cheap but still half the cost. I want some Wet Okoles too and with Christmas coming I needed to start cutting back on spending.
