About to buy: 2005 Frontier SE - advice on price?

I may be heading over to the dealer tomorrow or within a few days to buy my Frontier.... I've been trying to research the pricing online, though some personal opinions from you guys who own Frontiers would be cool. It's the first time I've bought a vehicle, so I'm a bit worried about making mistakes and getting had (a dealer already tried to sell me a used 2004 Frontier XE for $22k - fortunately I said no thanks and went home to research).

What I'm looking at getting:
2005 Nissan Frontier King SE (new), 4x2, AT.... Power Package, Side Airbags, spray-in bedliner.

I plan to put about $8000 down, and have a pre-approved loan from my bank (4.9%) for the remaining amount. I believe the 2005 Frontiers have a $1500 cash-back rebate at the moment as well (until November 30th). I understand there will also be tax, and a number of other fees (not sure what those are). I live in Southern California btw.

Anyhow, it would be a tremendous help if you guys could help me get an idea of what I should expect to pay for the above or similar Frontier, based on your personal experience. Also any tips you might have on making sure I get a reasonable price would be greatly appreciated

Thanks.

I picked my LE up on 10/31. Prior to that I researched online what the pricing would be. I brought that with me when I went to the dealers of which I visited 3 Nissan dealers. I bought from the last one who was having an end of month sale. Everything was marked at invoice....per my research done on line. I had also found the vehicle(s) I decided between by going to nissanusa.com and bulding the vehicle of my choice, then finding it at one of the local dealers....where I bought from. I actually might have preferred a dealer in the opposite direction but about the same distance but they didn't have ANY in stock and wanted to place an order for 5% above invoice. I didn't want to wait.

At that time, 2005s were being offered at a $1250 incentive and 2006s were $500. There weren't many 2005's that met my criteria in the area. I decided the price was good enough at this dealer...invoice minus the $500 incentive to buy from them. Plus they gave me no hassle assistance which was a plus.

I also went to a Ford, Mitsu, Chevy and two Toyota dealers before deciding on the Nissan and test drove at all but the Chevy dealer but I didn't like the looks anyway.

Hope this helps.
