Just ordered 06 NISMO KC 6spd -What a hard time finding one!

Man what a tough time finding a 6 speed NISMO KC model in NJ area. We found 1 in all NJ

Ended up at a dealership that was willing to look around for me and it should be here late next week. It is gray.

I am a Ford guy and was looking at Rangers ( i have always owned F150's, but I need a truck for commuting) and they were just too small interior wise for a guy 6'7". This interior is very accomodating for my long legs. Power wise the nissan seems to beat it hands down.

So when I decided I was had to purchase a non Ford vehicle, I went with my favorite jap auto maker NISSAN. Hope I like it for daily driving...

My concerns after browsing here are the drive by wire system. I tune my Ford cars myself with Superchips Custom Tuning software and I can modify all that... I hope someone comes out with a chip if it is a problem for me.

I plan on starting with intake, exhaust, tires, sat radio, Any other good first mods?

Thanks and nice site
Rog

Can you feel the love in here?

Can anyone from a dealer on here tell me what my VIN decodes as. Now I'm concerned my dealer is an idiot and ordered a club cab??

Thanks
Rog

Actually I ran it through that and it looks OK. What it doesn't confirm is trans type I am concerned because carfax showed clubcab as body type.

Guess I'll see in a few days.

If it's not what you wanted, your under no obligation to purchase!

Did you check Nissan of Turnerville when you were looking? Brian (JerseyParts from the forums and yournissanparts.com on-line) hangs out at Club Frontier and Frontier Talk Forums, and has excellent prices on OEM and after Market Parts and outstanding customer service! I got my side steps, floor mats, and body side molding through him and saved a bundle over what my dealership here wanted. He can probably confirm your set-up if you provide him your VIN and help you with aftermarket parts as well. I just ordered the new Banks Monster Exhaust from him, and it's about $100.00 less than what Banks advertised it for retail! His e-mail addres is: Cadigan,Brian [bcadigan@unitedauto.com], tell him Paul from Indy sent you, he'll hook you up!

One other thought, if they are obtaining it from another dealership, try building a truck to the specs your getting then do an inventory search through the nissanusa web site with zip codes from surounding areas or states. If the truck shows up in the inventory it will show the VIN Number on the website, you can then confirm the exact equipment that is coming on that truck, and put your concerns to rest! Good luck, and welcome to the Forum!
