Lifts for 06 Nismo

The only lift I have been able to find is the revtech 2.5 inch lift. Is anyone running it or is there something else out there? Im planning on running toyo mudders 285-75-16 on stockers. Whats eveyone elses setup?

there are other lifts that have been "available soon" for some time now. But nothing you can actually buy yet. I plan to go with the prerunner greg 2.5" lift with the same size tires you listed. I dont want to go any higher.

I plan on the PRG and maybe 285/75/16's as well (assuming they'll go on the 16x7 wheels...they all seem to list 7.5 or 8" width as a minimum but unless everyone is swapping out wheels I think only the LE has 8" wide wheels stock...so they must fit).

Oh yeah, I ahve to wait until lifting a vehicle with ABS is legal here too (should be by the end of the year I'm hearing).

most people are putting that size tire on the stock 16"s. although i dont think i will going that big due to gas mileage, speedometer, tranny, brake, and other issues. 265/75/16s is big enough for me and not as detrimental to all the parts mentioned.

Not to mention that's the stock tire size on the NISMO, so there is no issue with fit!

From what I've heard, no... They rub the front mud flaps. Now if you don't have mud flaps, they might work, I'm not really sure. If I were to go bigger, I'd probably try and find something in a 275/70-16, it'd be a bit wider, but not quite as tall, and should clear without a problem.

i bet the gear ratio is the same on all VQ40 rear ends. does anyone know off hand? i think the CC SE has a gear ratio of 3.583. should i even worry about this? 3.4% difference isn't much

From what I've been reading, most are off by at least that much from the factory! Swapping tires may net you the only Frontier with an accurate Speedo/odometer!

I tried the 285/75/16 toyo mudders on the stock height and they didnt fit. With the lift and removed mud flaps in front everything should be a go. Thought those tires are about two inches taller than stock. Different manufactures tires are all different sizes even though they have the same tire sizing.

SE CC's with the stick have 3.69's I believe. I lost my chart, wish someone would post it again...anyway, the KC Nismo stick and SE CC stick both hae the same rear end gears and they are the lowest (highest numerically) of all the models if I remember right.

you dont think you would still have a rubbing issue on turn in, not sure if you've noticed but the stock width tires on the nismo are only about 1/2" from hitting the front flaps when the wheels are turned to almost full lock.

Also on a side note my back factory tires rub like crazy when i have to turn into an uphill driveway..

If you've ever had to buy a used tire to limp home on, you probably learned then a 195/60/15 Dunlop is a good bit smaller than a comparably worn 195/60/15 Michelin. Tires are totally different within a single size but in different brands. I'm currently running the "stock size" on my 97 4x4 Hardbody, but the Kumho's are an inch or maybe even two taller and the tread is skinnier than the Hankooks (crap) that it came with. But both sets are the stock size.

I'm kinda debating the bigger tires now after seeing pics of a second front diff with a big, scary crack along the whole side...

Might just go with the lift and the 275/70's (wider than stock but not really taller (for me)) That or 265/75's...
