New Poster & Some Info

Hey folks. I am brand new to this forum and just recently purchased a 2005 Nissan Frontier SE King Cab 4x4 canteen green color. I already have 2000 miles and so far it is great! I have done some offroading (very mild) with everything stock and it is literally almost an addiction. The grade slopes I can go up or down in without hitting the front or rear bumper is truely amazing.

Anyho, if anyone is interested. I was able to fit a 275/70/16 Goodyear MT/R tires on my truck with very slight rubbing in the front when I turn the wheel extremely sharp. And I was able to keep the front mud flap.

And if anyone knows how to stop the drivers side door rattle while playing any songs with base please share

Also, I plan to get Line-X done on my truck around the bottom. Bout 2.5-3 inches of line-x will be from the bottom up, and on the wheel wheels where the paint is. Basically like a 2-tone paint job, but the bottom color will be line-x and only 2.5-3 inches tall. I will try to post pics when Im done.

Edit: Oh yah, and some people complain about the clicking noice when pressing and depressing the brake pedal, it is supposed to be there. It triggers on the brake lights. Ask someone to stand outside of your truck and press the break pedal down before the click occures, and the light will not come on, the second the click sounds, the light turns on.

I dont have any pics of my truck, but this is a pic of the goodyear mt/r tires so u can get the idea. I dont have a clue on the size tire in the pic.

Edit: I think they are like 220 bucks for the size I got, but I work at Freightliner in the tire dept. and only payed 154 without the white lettering. They work great but the road noise could make alot of people hate them.

I thought the 265/75/16 were bigger but more narrow then the ones you got? I don't think I will ever figure out tire sizes.

265/75/16
The tread is 265 mm wide. The side wall hight is 75% of the tread width, or 265 x .75 =200.25mm tall (aspect ratio). The rim it fits on has a 16 inch diameter
If you really want to waste sometime, you can convert all of this into inches and pull out a tape measure to get a real world idea of how big these babies are. I'm familiar with this size MT/R. these make an F-150 look pretty tough. I'm sure they look huge under your Frontier

nice. I have always gone with the BFG MT but I am think I am going to go with the Goodyear this time because they seem to handle better in the sand.

So I was right about the size then. His new tires would be 192.5 or 31.158 and the Nismo has 31.768. So why do you have any rub on a new Fronty with that size?

Kevin
