01 - 170HP 05 - 265HP

So..95 more HP in the new nissans compared to my 2001 with 170. Kinda ashamed. What is there to do to even get the tires to break loose? Heh.

For auto, hold the brake pedal and slam on the gas. Brake distribution is 90% front, 10% rear, so you will not destroy your rear brakes bad.

dont have 4wd engaged, and make sure the bed is empty and ur not towing anything. The rear is so light on trucks that their torque is plenty to spin the tires. If your on the 4 banger frontier you might get wheel hop instead.

I have an '05 LE KC automatic. Last night I was sitting at
a red light and failed to see it had changed until the guy next to me started moving. Since I am one who gets upset with people who don't go when the light changes
I hit the accelerator briskly and the rear tires broke loose
immediately.

Luckily I moved before the guy behind me had to honk.
Then I would have been even more upset with my lack of attention.

It is very easy to break the wheels loose in the '05's, I have done it by accident several times.

mine does. 05 4.0 v6 KC SE.
1.) empty bed, not towing anything
2.) turn overdrive off (mine is an auto)
3.) tires must be warm (hot day or been driving over 20 mins before attempting)
4.) from a dead stop, tap the gas peddal then let go and then slam on it to the floor.

the reasoning: it takes 1 second for the fly by wire to work, so by tapping the gas peddal, letting go, and immediatly slamming on the gas, you avoid that.

works 1/2 the time or so.

I dunno guys, if it's that big a problem you can always replumb the windshield washer to spray the rear tires and fill it up with WD-40. The WD-40 not only lubricates to aid in breaking them free, it makes a great plume of smoke too.
Chicks dig the smokin' burnout.

THe 4 bangers have no trouble breaking them loose!
My coworkers old 01 4 banger auto would powerbrake all day with no effort!!!
Its not a a fast truck but just touch that brake and without even flooring it they would break loose!!
I still dont understand it cause my dads 01 SC wont do it but it will blow the doors off that 4 banger!!
Even my frineds 01 crew NA v6 would smoke them!
Why wont my dads SC?
I have a 04 manual 4 banger myself and it has no trouble breaking them loose but most manuals shouldnt.

I read something interesting somewhere about the Titan. The computer will only let the throttle open 10% if it detects the brake on. that would be why my full throttle, full brake for a good start idea didnt work on it.
