Fog light wires 04 Frontier

I purchased a nissan fog light kit for a 04 frontier, 4x4. It appears that the preinstall wires for the lights which were tied together by the hood latch, are to short to reach the fog lights. Is this normal, do I have to pull them out of the wire tubing running along the hood frame, or is there an extender.

Thanks

Hey, I was searching for info for a possible future install on my 04 frontier. Here is a link with useful info. http://www.nissanforums.com/showthread.php?t=96946 It did not answer your question, but I am sure if you send one of these guys a message, they will know the answer. Hope this helps you out.
Let me know how easy it is once you get it done. I am really considering doing this.

I eventually found the real wires tied up under the headlights. As of now, I have everything hooked up but the switch and that because a dealer sent me the wrong one. So all in all, the kit was fairly easy to install.

Thanks

Hopefully the dealer will get its act together. I am looking to install some fog lights soon in my base model 04 frontier. I say base model hoping you might know if the prewired foglights setup comes on all frontiers or just certain models. Once you found those wires, were they obvious as to what they were, or were they taped up or covered in that flexible tubing? I have looked on mine very breifly thinking that hopefully those wires come on all models. But no luck yet. Also, if you don't care, how much is the switch? I want to use all oem but, I heard that the switch alone(or the stalk from what I've read elsewhere) is expensive. Thanks

It is my understanding only the 6 cyclinder models come prewired. But Nissan does have a fog light kit for the base models. If I can find the instructions, it noted the part number. The prewired has the flex tubing with the connector at the end.

Thanks

Thats what I figured. I am looking at some aftermarket "OEM STYLED" fog lights, so I am not too worried about the wires not being there. It would have been nice though. Thanks. Hope you enjoy your lights
