Proud new owner! Picked up my vehicle tonight. Woo Hoo I'm very pleased.
Not too much driving tonight since it was Holloween. My salesguy arranged for a pair of winter mats and left me the carpet mats as well and I found wheel locks in the glovie...bonus. Price was invoice minus $500. I also opted for a 7 year/100000 miles warranty since we tend to hang onto our vehicles.
Sorry for the crummy picture but since we just went to standard time, its dark early. The only other thing I want to do is get the 3M protective film on it. I didn't have time to call to arrange that today.

There are a couple of simple mods that you will probably be compelled to perform. With darkness setting so early now, the biggest may be the headlight bulb swap and adjustment!
It seems our trucks come from the factory with the headlights pointed down more than normal which results in very limited visability. A lot of people (including myself) have replaced the stock bulbs with Sylvania SilverStars and cranked up the headlight alignment of the headlights a few turns! This gives a remarkable increase in visability at night!
Being as you have an LE, you already have most of the goodies I've added to my NISMO, like body side molding, step rails and auto-dimming rear view mirror!
Congrats on the new truck, and have fun!

I think I'd go strait back to the dealer and back to the service guys to ask for a list of common mods that are OK with the warranty, and even a few of their experiences with mods that voided the warranty. I've never owned brand new, so I'd be highly sceptical of the warranty, or of the guys who interpret it. It is their job to make sure the dealership makes money on uncovered service, not lose it on covered service. But maybe I'm just a curmudgeon.
Anyway, congrats on the badass truck!
I use it all the time. I'm a well spoken curmudgeon. My wife gives me the same kind of shit; and she's an english teacher, about to start on her PhD. I love to correct her english when I can. It's also fun that I finally get to sleep with that hot teacher from highschool.
I'm also fond of throwing around the term "socioeconomic".
You know, like when discussing the the median socioeconomic background of the average import tuner versus that of the "American Iron" tuner.
And yes, you may quote me on that.

Being an English teacher, I'm sure she must have a few colorful names of her own, i.e.: fulminator, malcontent, sorehead; killjoy, party pooper, spoilsport; defeatist, pessimist; faultfinder, kicker, nagger, nitpicker, and quibbler!

Thanks.
Two cars that I bought brand new I also bought an extended warranty that ended up paying for itself. I just needed a fuel pump replaced on the Audi. The road side assistance paid for part of the tow and the entire fuel pump repair was covered as well as the rental vehicle for 4 days....a Chevy Silverado which is what got me going down the truck road

Thanks. I'm enjoying it. I'll look into the headlight replacement. I'm also going to get the front end covered with clear bra material. My only regret with the Audi was not getting it. The front end looks like its going through puberty.

I've got about the cheapest tonneau you can find any where. it was about $100, and I'd recommend not going this cheap. I love having it, but it is a real P.O.S. I like that I can leave surprisingly valuable stuff in the bed, if you can't see it, then thieves don't want it. But I don't think I'd trust this logic at the mall around Christmas time.
