2005 Frontier CC - Wiring problem for towing

I had a Prodigy electronic brake controller added at U-Haul. While testing lights with my camper attached, I realized the following:

Lights work
Brakes work

But...

Turn signals don't. They flash twice and stop. But if you put on the brakes, the turn signals work!

So anyway, I took it to a U-Haul a bit further from home but they have a guy that has done work for me before and I trust him. He said that the '05s are rigged with a quick connect plug and that everything look wired OK.

He is recommending that I take it to a Nissan dealer with the camper attached. I'm dreading this.

Anybody heard about any wiring problems with the '05? I've seen the recall that is intended to cut the risk of fire if you're hauling a trailer that has incorrect wiring. But it doesn't sound like this will solve my problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Beck

I guess you have added the 7 pin harness as you have a brake controller... I switched my 4 pin OEM on our '05 Pathfinder to the 7 pin OEM and used the plug and play harness #3050 from Tekonsha to hook-up the Prodigy... Worked great without any problems... You might check to see if the brake controller harness is hooked-up correctly... Did they install the relays??......Triffid

I think it was the plug and play...but Relays? I have no idea. Where do they come into play?

Triffid, you enjoy the price of that 7 pin? I accidentally knocked mine off while offroading ('05s dont quite have the departure angle my 03 CC Had) and a new one cost me $65 at the steelership.
