New Stereo

I cannot take it anymore, one week and the stock single CD radio has got to go. Love my 05 Nismo and everything about it, except the "stereo." Two questions if I may:

1. In researching installation, I found two different ways to pull the front panel. HERE (last post) and HERE , both excellent but very different. One states to pull the top tray and loosen a screw and the other states to pull the panel from just above the power outlet. Which is correct?

2. I think I am down to one or two models, but what aftermarket radio are you really happy with? I am trying to stay around the $150 to $180 range, single CD, but with MP3 decoding.

Thanks!
