It's not really a chip, it's a resistor just as they show in the picture.
At best, it'll make your air temp sensor tell the computer that the air coming into your engine is cooler than it actually is and your computer will tell the injectors to dump more gasoline into the engine.
I doubt you'll see any noticeable gain in performance.
FWIW, I did this for my Geo and all it really did was increase the idle speed.
I figured for the $3.00 that auction was, it was worth a shot. ($0.99 bid price will probably cover the cost of the resistor; $7.00 shipping on that auction is where he's making his money)

this is as stupid as thinking that putting a vortex mahoozie or filling the injectors with sand works. they alter the fuel/air mixture and can make your engine go boom in more ugly ways than one. do yourself a favor, buy something from a company like greddy,a real ECU upgrade.
by the way,if you can't drive that well, don't bother with doing any modifications to the motor until you can. i hear about some dumb kid (such as myself) who drops a turbo in his honda civic and grenades his engine at 120 mph, before careening directly into your grandmother's caddy. i drive what i have, and win races. i don't put things i know i can't handle into my truck.

Don't put that thing in your truck! Not only does it not work, but it can make your truck run rich, which could cause some SERIOUS damage to the engine!!!!!!!!!
