Looking for your recommendations for purchasing nerf bars on my new 2005 KC Nismo model Frontier. I found these HERE that are about $240 after shipping. I would like to stick with a brushed or all black as the truck is steel grey with a black liner. Are these halfway decent? Really looks only, no weight will go on them.
Also, I see some posts on the brushed aluminum door window switch covers and searched for info regarding if they fit on the king cab. Cannot seem to find anything, are they available? I found a set, at least I thought I did, on the web but cannot locate them again and forgot to save the site
The Aries nerf bars look nice, in fact I almost bought Aries
for my '05 LE KC. I decided I liked the Manik nerf bars a
little better so that is what I bought.
I got the polished stainless steel nerf bars and I like the look and the fit very well.
I am not sure of the web site but you might try www.manik.com. If that does not work you can do a Goo-
search and put in Manik for Frontier. That is how I found their web site.
I paid $335 for the polished stainless steel nerf bars through a local 4 wheel drive parts store.
The window switch plates off of the Pathfinder will work on the crew cab models, but not on our king cabs. I am hop-
ing the '06 KC will have that feature available on the LE models.

Thank you for the response. I understand the 06's will be out soon, maybe the switchplates can be changed out then.
Manik are way over my budget. Th Aries are on hold as well as they are polished black. I really like the stock Nissan powder coated black/grey so the hunt continues before I plunk down the $305 for the dealer models. My local truck shop has a set in stock like I want, but for the crew cab. He said the bolts are the same, but it has two flat steps on either side instead of the long single flat spot for a step. I think it would look awkward with two flat steps on a king cab, he thinks I won't notice because of the half doors.
Still mulling it over, onto the next bug.... new radio.

I too had a concern about the two step pads on the nerf bars. Mine had the factory nerf bars with the single step pad.
Once I put the Manik nerf bars on I immediately liked the look of the two step pads much better than the single step pad. I don't think you will mind the look at all.
If you lived in this area I would be glad to sell you my like
new factory nerf bars.

I dug up this old thread in case you are still interested in the Pathfinder window switch covers. I now have them on my LE KC. You will have to order the Pathfinder window switches as well as the Pathfinder window switch cover plates.
That way the switches will be able to mount to the Pathfinder cover plates. The wiring for the Pathfinder switches plugged right into the Frontier wiring harness.
A little more expensive this way, but at least we can now do this if we want to.

how did you end up paying $335 for Manik polished bars? I cant find them less than $600 nowhere. My dad wants them and since he has a SE model and chrome b umpers he wants polished ones to match!

They have them for $450 and if you enter the discount code "clbttn" at checkout you get 10% off. Mine are on the way, due on the 12th according to FedEx.
I found them a little bit cheaper at autoanything.com but I was buying some other stuff (iPod interface, microfilters) at the same time so the 10% off gave me the better deal. Good luck!

I went on line and found them for about $400 and then went to my local 4 Wheel Parts store and asked them if the could beat that price. They sold them to me for $335.99
plus $35 shipping.
I was quite surprised and pleased that they came down that much. I installed them myself and I have been very pleased with the quality and the look of them.
