Dealer Crashed My Truck

Well I went to go buy my truck on monday night. Spent 6 hours at the dealer negotining my trade in and price of the truck, worst car buying experience ever. But that doesnt matter cuss I got exactly what i wanted for my trade in and paid exactly what i wanted for my truck. So anyways they back out my truck and run it stright into another customers car. Needs a new tailgate and bumper. So once those get replaced, hopefuly early next week I will post some pics up for everything. But I love my truck!

Not sure but around here if that happened they couldn't sell the truck as new. I'm not you but it I were, I'd make them give me a different truck. Who wants to start out with one that's already been repaired?

Sorry to hear that. If it just damaged the tailgate and bumper and nothing else, they should be able to replace them with brand new parts (probably right away from another truck on the lot with matching paint). If they have to repair anything like the bed, I'd demand a new truck.

Yeah it just needs a new fender and tailgate. It was at like 3mph. But they are pulling the parts off another truck on the lot. Which reminds me I need to call them to see why they are lagging on getting my parts.

I wonder what they gave the other customer for their trade? I bet after they backed your new truck into their car, they were in a pretty good spot to negotiate a really good deal!

Something similar happned to me, too. When they had the truck around back for the detailing, one of their people backed into it. They replaced the rear fender and the wheel, and gave me a free bed extender. They also gave me a Titan to drive for a few days while they got everything taken care of. They offered to find a different truck with the same configuration, but they thought it would take longer than just fixing this one. In the end, I think it may have been quicker to go with the new truck.

If they're repairing the fender on the truck's bed, i would make them either replace the bed entirely or demand another truck. You don't want to be hauling a load of dirt five years from now and then find out that merl (back in the body shop) was still learning how to bond panels with adhesives.
