door problem

i just got a 05 SE KC fronty and i had a question i hope you can help me with.
my friend has a SE CC and his doors seems to shut way better than mine. you barely even push it, and it latches. mine on the other hand, you have to push it a good bit harder for it to latch. i was just wondering if its the way the seals are different or what.

same thing when i open and shut a pathfinder... easier to do.
any advice.. does yours (if you have a king cab) do this????

should i take this back to the dealer?????

HELP!!

thanks a bunch!

probably because the king cab has the rear hinged access doors for the back seats, while the crew cab has a rigid steel pillar going up (i don't know for sure, just a suggestion)

Prpodium,

I have an '05 LE KC and the doors are hard to close on it as well. It may be the small back door causing this, but I
feel like it is just overcoming a very good door seal.

When it shuts it has the sound of an expensive car rather
than a truck. I'm okay with it, I just love the sound.

thanks so much for the reply... i thought it was just mine. i thought it might be from the seal. you have eased my worries. i just thought if i paid 20K for a truck.. i want to make sure everything is working correctly.
thanks again!

Yah, my KC needs a little extra umph to close the doors as well. Like you all have said, my KC just seems to have a very good seal to overcome.

Mine's the same way, as was my F-150 SC, I think it has to do with a bit of flex you get from the rear suicide doors when you close the front door. As far as I can tell this is normal, and appears to happen on all extended cap truck with the suicide rear doors.
