Electrical, speaker wiring

I have just picked up some new tweeters to replace the oem tweeters in my 98 Frontier XE. They came with a pair of crossovers, that when I use them there is barely any sound coming out of the tweeters. So I have wired them for now without the crossover. My question is is there a built in crossover/resister somewhere in the wiring, and if so where is it? Every componet is aftermarket now, except for the wiring. Should I go through and replace all the wiring?

you will probably have better luck on www.nissanminis.com

they have a stereo forum, and the people there should be able to help you better than the people here.

Your not going to get much out the tweeters anyways, the factory tweeters are very good, and should stand for any abuse. I'm not for sure about a factory crossover, but I would recommend leaving the stock tweeters and just replacing the door speakers.

The factory tweeters are blown and no longer work at all. They only worked for a year before they died on me. I was not the first owner of this truck. I got it in 2000 from a nissan dealer. When I took it home the first day, I discovered the radio did not even turn on. They had to put a new head unit the factory one had died.
