I am a new member here with myfirst posting. First of all thanks for this informative forum. I have had many Nissan trucks over the years and really love them. I have a 99 Frontier with a tricky problem. It had developed an exsaust leak at the manifold as these trucks tend to do. I took it to a muffler shop to have snapped bolts replaced and manifold gaskets replaced. I was told that the egr tube was bad and needed to be replaced as there was a leak there. I figured I would replace it myself and save a few bucks. On installing the new one I found that where it connects to the exsaust manifold on the bottom that the nut would tighten all the way down but I could still move the tube in and out a little bit like the nut was not reaching the bottom of the flange. I thought that maybee a crush sleeve or such went in before the flare nut and asked at the nissan parts counter but nothing was shown on their parts diagrams. At any rate it leaks exsaust around the bottom flare nut. If anyone has run into this problem with good results please let me know. Thanks for any help.
