First of all, welcome to the forum. Nice truck!

I had looked around for iPod integration when I first bought my Frontier around the June/July time frame, and there wasn't anything available. However, my latest search on crutchfield.com came back with an option that is coming out on 10/10!!!!!

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-0k9oMNF...g=227450&avf=Y

I did a search for my CC with the 10 speaker RF package, and this came up, but I just plugged in the extended cab with the 4 speaker system, and it looks like they are advertising this as a solution for any 2005 Frontier.

It does say basically that it either uses the "internal FM modulator", which I'm assuming is an FM transmitter, or an auxilary input connection. By the way, anyone know if our stereos have an aux input? (I have the crew cab with the 10 speaker RF package.)

Enjoy!!!

Aux Input

I installed the PAC-NIS Aux adapter which hacks into the sattellite input on the back of the head unit. Works great, and gives you two sets of RCA inputs that work through the radio presets for sattellite. The HK looks like a sweet solution, but I am looking for something that you can control with the stereo and steering wheel controls. It would be much cheaper to just mount the ipod in a good viewing spot and buy a $50 remote, especially since the Hk has additional items that will still "advertise" that you have an ipod in your truck.

Aux Input

Sure do, it is the PAC-AAI-NIS. I think it was around $100.

I took a gamble when I bought it hoping it was the same jacks as the pathfinder, they did not have the frontier listed at the time. But now they do.

Nismo2k5 -- since you don't have the audio controls on the steering wheel, I'm assuming you don't have the 6-disc changer. I'm 99% certain you have to have the 6-disc changer to use the PAC aux input adapter.

As a last resort, you could get one of the higher-quality wired FM modulators that plugs straight into the antenna port on the back of your head unit. The good ones will shut off the antenna signal when an aux input signal is detected, so you can get a noticeably better signal quality than with just a wireless FM modulator.

Hope this helps...

If you are alright with the head unit that you have, then here is something that I was curious about with the Harmon-Kardon iPod integration kit.

I was wondering if you could leave the external LCD and controller, and simply have the iPod cable coming out of the console in a somewhat inconspicuous place. Then you wouldn't have all the external crap mounted all over your truck, but you could just plug in the iPod and go. The unit costs $199, which is possibly cheaper than most head units with iPod integration built in. It's not as cheap as the PAC-NIS adapter, I'm sure, but it may be worth looking into.
