ioannes Sorta-Newbie Join Date: May 2005 Location: Missouri Posts: 16	98 2.4l Idling Problem Okay, this is my problem... My truck is throwing up and EGR blockage code and Idling high -around 1000 to 1700, it's irregular, even non-existant at times. I have removed the EGR tube and the valve to check for leaks, blockages, etc... nothing. In fact the assembly was pretty clean. The EGR holds vaccum fine, and there are no vaccum leaks, yet it is still idling high. Does anyone have any ideas? I am hoping that I can fix this myself, I hate going to the mechanic only to be let down at a later time. 1998 2.4l 4x4XE
