NOisy suspension

Hi,
i have a 2001 Frontier ext. cab and am getting a real loud supsension or steering noise when I make a hard left U turn. (even at very low speed) I have talked to other Frontier owners who have the same noise. If I don't crank the wheel all the way to the left, it isn't as bad but it still is annoying--Any suggestions/solutions?

thanks,

Flojo

I have also got same noise, sounds like someone stepping on a soda can,and can feel it in the floorboard, dealer changed my shock, said it was bad.tHAT WAS A MONTH AGO,NOISE JUST COMING BACK(MY NOISE ONLY OCCURS GOING DOWNHILL AND APPLYING BRAKES) I am meeting a regional rep next week at the dealership and will re-post the outcome if I find anything new to add

Several places this might be coming from.
Front sway bar bushings (remove and greasing the bushings helps)
Torsion bar (depending on model, just greasing may help, but some cases, you may have to remove and sort of sand down or debur the rear circular section that is held in place by the middle crossmember)
Front crossmember (retorquing helps, but this is only on certain models that have this)
Frame - body bushings (retorquing the bolts help)
