I just bought a 2005 Frontier SE Crewcab 4x4 Manual.

I notice this odd clunk when I shift from 1st to 2nd and sometimes 2nd to 3rd.
It never happens in the higher gears and it's intermittent. The clunk is not really loud, but I notice it because I've had a manual Pathfinder for 15 yrs. and never had any strange noise like this. I'm still breaking in this truck.

I would appreciate any comments on this. Thanks.

Other than that, I'm really enjoying driving my Frontier. I never knew how outdated my Pathfinder was because it's still running well.

If it is a 4x4 with the auto lock hubs, then that clunk you get may mean that one or all are not properly unlocked.
