Exhaust

I am looking for a dual cat-back exhaust system for my 2000 Frontier that has a loud tone to it. Any suggestions?

I've looked on the Magnaflow, Gibson, and Borla Websites. Not too much for the 4cyls, but they have some systems for the 6cyls (I didn't notice if those were dual). Personally, if I had a 6cyl, I'd take it to some of my local muffler shops and see what they could do about a true dual system for it. You may want to Search in the Truck & SUV section; that's been done by some.

custom exhaust.

if its a V6, have them add an x-pipe to it, it will make it sound really nice.

I didn't have a catback system on my 2000 XE 4 cylinder,
but I did have a Flow Master single in dual out on it. It
had a very deep tone to it, but it was a little too loud for me on long trips.

I loved it around town, it just was a little too loud after being on the road for a while.

Exhaust

Sorry, I forgot to mention that it is a V6. I went to mieneke and they said that they have 3 different types: Flowsound, Flowmaster, and Vortex. Vortex being the loudest. I put out a thread on the Vortex because I never heard of it and I also have never heard of flowsound. I went to Google and did some searching but there is nothing I was looking for. Anyway the costs are: Vortex=$400, The Flowmaster=$315, and the Flowsound=$235.Prices are not exact but close enough.

Flowmaster makes good-flowing mufflers. You don't need anything more expensive than that, plus when teh muffler rusts out, it' sonly $50 to replace it, labor included. You can get a stainless system, but that gets pricey...

Flowmasters sound nasty, IMO.

If you want a nice, clean, sporty sound, then I would go with something like a Dynomax or Magnaflow straight through muffler. I use Magnaflows on all my cars and they are very clean sounding and not too loud. A stainless Magnaflow will probably outlast the truck.

If you want a warbly, farty sound, then put Flowmasters on it.

Doesn't sound too bad.

Will they let you test listen to the different mufflers?

Are they going to put in an X or H pipe?

Haven't heard of the other two, but Flowmaster can definitely fit your loud requirement.

Try "Custom Tube Products" they make a sweet looking Stainless Dual setup.

Match it up with some SLR Headers.
