Blower Fan.....connection failure

I recently bought a '99 Frontier V6 XE. It's been a great truck and I'm really happy about it. I've been looking for a mid-size for a while and finally found one in my price range. I am hoping that someone out there can help me with this problem, or has had the same one and knows how to fix it:

My blower fan (heating and AC) is not working right. The first three settings don't work. I throw it up to the 4th and it comes on at full strength. The AC and heat still work but the fan just isn't kicking on. Any suggestiong or know how to find the Shop Manual so I can take apart my dash without destroying it?

Thanks.

You might try E-Bay. That's where I got my shop manual ('02 cc xev6) for a very reasonable price. It sounds like the switch is bad. I don't know what the switch looks like in the 99s, but you might look in salvage yards for a replacement if in fact the switch is the problem.

It is not the switch. You have a bad resistor. It is behind the glove box somewhere. I had this happen on my 96 Sentra. Easy to fix.
