Question 2000 Nissan Frontier XE Seats

Hello,

I just recently ordered new material for the lower portion of my front bucket seats. The old stuff was looking pretty warn, but my truck the rest of the truck is in really good shape. I ordered direct from Nissan and just got the material without the padding. My question is this - how much work and what kind of skill is involved in doing something like this yourself?

I do all basic maintenance on the truck myself (brakes, shocks, oil, fuel filter etc). In reviewing the shop manual, taking the seats out looks fairly straight forward (aside from making sure airbags are disabled). I'm just not sure how much work it would be beyond that.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated?

Thanks, Lars

Did you order the material by itself or was it already stiched in the form of the seat cushion.

Yes, it is came from Nissan stitched to the shaped of the seat cushion. The bottom edges have the plastic tubing etc for securing to the bottom assembly.

If you were going to tell me that you able to buy just the material I was going to lose my mind. That would prompt me to do interior work and add some material to the hard plastic doors.
