Anyone know what changes are in store for '06 models?

I'm trying to decide between getting a Frontier now or waiting for the '06 models to come out, and want to know what new options (if any) will be available for the '06 Frontiers. Naturally, no one at the dealerships want to talk about them until they've arrived and I haven't found anything on the web, so does anyone know where to get that kind of info?

Specifically, I'm wondering if there will be any new wheels and body colors to choose from.

Dont think there will be any major changes since the 05 was a new design.

nothing really changing for 06, other than a couple of color changes,

no more electric blue or aztec red
will naow have majestic blue(same as on altima)
and Sedona(same red as on Xterra)
there are a couple of oter options for packages, but not too much. Like he said brand new truck for 05.

They sure as heck need to do something about the audio packages... I couldn't find a red NISMO with the Rockford Fosgate pacakge ANYWHERE. The base system is HORRIBLE!

I've got to agree with you there. At least they left us room to put some components in. I'm working really hard at designing a box for my little King Cab that will fit between the rear jump seats.

This is my first truck, I'm used to doing the installs on cars but this is challenging. I'm diagraming everything before I get in there and get frustrated...

The stock system definitley has to go.

I replaced the door speakers with 3-way Alpines. However, the low end was still lacking, so I reluctantly installed a Kenwood KSC-SW1 self-powered subwoofer on a friend's advice. I have to say that I am AMAZED at how good it sounds!!! It has a variable low-pass filter and gain controls. It can put out more bass than the truck cabin needs if you turn it up, and it sounds VERY GOOD! It certainly puts other ones like the Bazookas and Clarions to shame.

It fits well under either the driver's seat or the rear passenger's seat in a Crew Cab. It actually fits perfectly in the tray under the rear passenger's seat. I bought a spare tray and connected the sub with power, ground, & speaker leads that can be disconnected so I can pull the tray with the sub out if I want to and put the original one back in if I need the storage.

Another friend who installs car audio for a living said that he was surprised that it sounded so good. He talked to his boss about stocking the sub, but his boss didn't want to do it because it would cut into their subwoofer business, which is much more lucrative than installing a self-contained unit.

Crutchfield sells it for $250 + shipping. You can get it off eBay for about $170-$180 with shipping included.

Here's the link to Crutchfield's page... http://www.crutchfield.com/S-fCPwRMA...KSCSW1&g=51000

Bumping this up. Have the '06s arrived? I saw a white Nissan truck drive by me today. I thought "nice looking Titan". When it passed, it said Frontier on the tailgate. If it's really a Frontier, then the '06s are BIG. I doubt someone would take the time to replace Titan lettering with Frontier. Exterior looks the same (it was a CC). It looks wider and a bit longer then my '05......

Cruise control is nice in the Power Package. My '04 has the pw, pdl, p-mirror, and keyless, but no cruise . I'm having a shop put cruise in this week.

Changes for '06

Red Alert and Red Brawn are the two red colors offered for the 2005 Titan. Red Alert is the bright, fire-engine red and the Brawn is a darker, burgundy color.

I have a red Nismo with the Rockford package if anybody has any questions. I love it, but I'm not an audiophile perfectionist or anything. It plays loud enough to be heard with the sunroof open and windows down and that's generally enough for me. Probably will upgrade the speakers at some point when I finally blow them out. :-b
