Intercooler Piping/Hose

I'm trying to get an fmic installed on a real tight budget. I don't have the cash to get custom pipes bent. I've considered straight pipes with several angled connectors but that leaves too many places for leaks.

I'm considering some industrial hose instead. I can get enough hose to do the job for about $50. Here's the info on the hose:

High-temperature silicone-coated fiberglass hose has a smoother bore than neoprene-coated hose. Use it to convey hot air, dust, and fumes when temperatures exceed the normal limits of rubber. Ideal for glass manufacturing and arc lamp venting, engine-compartment air handling, and turbine-bleed air ducting. Hose is odorless and holds up well over extended use.

Max PSI: 22
Max Vac: 20 hg
Temp Range: -75 to 500 degrees ferenheit
Construction: Orange-red, 2-ply fiberglass fabric with silicone coating
Reinforcement: Spring-steel wire helix and a fiberglass cord bonded to cover
Compressibility: 1.5 to 1
Price: $10.12/ft. (min. 5ft increments)

Anybody out there ever try or see anything like this used?

cheap is the WRONG way to go about doing it.

like your SIG says "Do it right or pay someone else to do it" with an addition: Do it right, or don't do it at all.
