you wouldn't want to weld the oil pan on the car. there would be a nice smoky fire inside the engine, among metal shavings and whatnot.

i decided that im gonna get a small ass pipe, like 1" long, with a threaded end, and weld that into my pan, so i can save a few bucks and not buy some fancy ass fitting...good idea?
