question about boost controller

alright, im planning on geting a turbo kit custom fabricated, and was wondering if there was any way to get a program for my laptop to turn it into a boost controller
also, is there a way for me to reprogram my ECU myself using my laptop
(im planning on setting up my comp for engine management, and would be nice to be able to bundle it all together)
thanks for all your help

ive never heard of a laptop controlling boost, but a standalone system can basically monitor everything else in the ecu, which is controlled by the user via laptop...if thats what you mean

A boost controller requires a selonoid to fool the wastegate, even if it was computer controlled it still needs the physical device to perform this.

As for self programming, what kind of experience do you have with tuning? I would suggest the Greddy E-manage or AEM EMS if you do dcide to go that route.
