Hello again, Just wanted to ask a couple of questions reguarding my flywheel/flexplate. I have an engine which i am installing that came out of a five speed and i am mating up to an auto. I have swapped the existing flywheel for my flexplate. Now, is the flexplate weighted? does it have to be bolted to the crank in a certain position? How do i tell what position is which and what is the overall relationship between the flexplate and the crank? Can i just slap the thing on and proceed boltoing the Tq. converter and tranny in place? Thanks in advance for your input!

I have an engine from a 97with a man. tranny that i am swaping into a 96 which will remain an auto. just swaping engines. The question I have is about the pilot bushing in the engine that was a standard. And also the bushing in the auto engine as well. The torque converter has a short shaft which fits into the bushing on the crankshaft where the flywheel/torque con./ bolt together. How do I get the bushing out of the auto engine and into the new man. engine? Maybe just buy a new bushing? Where do I find said bushing? ANY insight would be very valuable. (except those who just change oil, i can do without those opinons) :wtf:

OK, my daughter's car, it has been very reliable for many years, 210K miles, Just started to act up...Spark OK, Fuel pressure OK.

What she has is what I would call a weak start, usually takes 2-3 cranks. Engine starts, kinda stumbles and picks up idle, once warm no problem.
Codes just recently set are: P0325 Knock Sensor and P1400 EGR Solenoid Valve fault...

Knock Sensor looks like fun to get to.
EGR is a bit easier, but with this many miles it will certainly be stubborn to remove and repair...

Is there a priority to fix? Does one cause the other ?

Thanks for the input.
