Ok, I'm reinstalling my P/S pump and this is due to a timing chain replacement. I'm in the finishing part of the job, but as it comes I can't seem to line the lower bracket of the power steering pump the one that has the 5 inch bolt threaded thru it and bolts to the block via 2 bolts, to line up properly. Its at a impossible angle to bolt down any ideas? Could the upper bracket need to go under the idler pulley and then that'll give me clearance? Anyone with a suggestion please respond.
Thanks In Advance.

Hi,
Does anyone happen to have a pic of the belt side of the KA24E motor? With the power steering, water pump, idler pulley, condensor, and crankshaft pulley? I'm in the muiddle of putting my motor back togerther and can't remember which way the power steering mounting bracket is bolted back on. If someone could please post a pic, or explain how it bolts back onto the timing cover that would be awesome. I'm sure there's a few DIY'ers who have gone this routine with the timing chain. Thanks

I had to unbolt every engine mount and now imhavving clearence issues with getting the motor bolted back on to the chassis. Anyone have any way of bolting it up properly? Do I need a hoist now? Or should I b able to do it without one? Thanks in advance.

So I've basically narrowed an oil leak of mine to 4 possible causes:
1.Oil sending unit
2. Timing chain cover
3. Oil pressure sensor
I noticed that the leak slowly drips down from the upper portion of the timing cover above the oil pan. So I'm asking how prone to oil leaks are stanza's and where do they usually leak? I checked the crank shaft seal and it seemed a little leaky but definitely not leaking from the location along the timing cover. Any input please TIA.

I've got an 88 GXE (CA20E) auto Stanza with 147k. It recently died while driving. It's getting plenty of fuel - flow and pressure. It has no spark from either coil. It will fire and run intermittently, but shuts off like tyou flipped a switch and it's back to no spark. There was oil around the crank sensor, so I cleaned it but it acts the same. When I put the ecu in diagnostic mode, sometimes both red and green LED blink together, sometimes I just get the red one, but it's always the same pattern - 2 slow, 3 fast, 4 fast, 5 fast, 1 slow

I've searched the forums to no avail - what the hell does that diagnostic pattern translate to??!!:wtf:

I've read several threads with this same problem, but no one ever posts if it was resolved - anyone?

I think the crank sensor id flaking out, but I'm afraid the ecu may be bad - are there any other tests to sort it out??:balls:

Thanks!
