side draft... its explane it self...

you my friend got the injection throttle body wich is down draft....
and as up anyone who got carbs have those down draft...

but it exist some that are mounted inline with the head, mitsumi and some others aftermarket perfomance carb offer those, it called side draft, ... get the link of blownb310 engine pics....

http://www.printroom.com/ViewAlbumPh...036&image_id=0

see the air filter ?? its on the side ??... picture it, the tubing of the intake is a straight tube to the cylinder head... much less restrictive !

Hope i helped you !!.

well not in most case !!... cuz as you see in blowns car, its nicely placed... he could use some spacer between the latch and the hood to open it from the windshield side... this way he would have a gap between the hood and the seals it sits on ... this way he would have some kindda of scoop, well it would be backward, but still the air it would consume would be freshier than if it would have pass trhou the engine to get there...

if you (havent seen that ??) had the injection on the other side of the engine wich would be in front of the car a side draft carb would be almost as a forced induction !! sure thing it would be some kindda Cold air intake !! (without the filter like our friend have)
